Beam printer models LBP-8 and LBP-8II\r\n\r\n - Enhanced CalComp plotter driver (now sends \"beginning of plot\" and\r\n \"end of plot\" records). SHROOM.COM and its documentation file SHROOM.DOC\r\n are supplied in the SAMPLE directory.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nPlot spooling\r\n-------------\r\n\r\n- The ACADPLCMD and ACADPPCMD environment variable hooks for Plot Spooling\r\n have been enabled for all platforms except the DEC VAXstation.\r\n\r\n When plotting to a file named \"AUTOSPOOL\", AutoCAD generates a unique\r\n file name in the configured plot file directory. Then, if the ACADPLCMD\r\n (for Plot) or ACADPPCMD (for Prplot) environment variable exists, it\r\n composes an operating system command using the string defined by that\r\n variable (substituting the plot file name for the first occurrence of\r\n \"%s\" in the string), and submits the command to the operating system.\r\n\r\n The spooler program (supplied by the operating system or a third-party\r\n application vendor) is typically responsible for the following actions,\r\n although it may do other things as well.\r\n\r\n - plotting the file as a background task. A simple case would use\r\n the DOS PRINT utility, but this only works for ASCII plot files.\r\n (PRINT must be loaded as a TSR before running AutoCAD, and must be\r\n directed to the parallel port to which the plotter is attached.)\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAC11386RD-1 Page 2 of 18\f\r\n PRINT doesn't support XON/XOFF protocol, so serial ports can't be\r\n used unless the plotter is wired for hardware handshaking.)\r\n\r\n - deleting the file upon completion to make way for more plot files.\r\n\r\n Those are the typical requirements, although the actual functionality is\r\n not monitored by AutoCAD in any way.\r\n\r\n To use a plot spooler with AutoCAD:\r\n\r\n A. Configure AutoCAD to use either an internal driver or a P386 ADI\r\n driver that uses AutoCAD's plotter I/O support (see the supporting\r\n documents for your driver). The spooling mechanism is activated\r\n only if the plot is written to a file, so if you want to use\r\n spooling by default, configure the plotter for plot to file.\r\n (Real-mode ADI drivers have their own method for writing plots to a\r\n file, and cannot use AutoCAD's plot spooling facility. See page 53\r\n of the AutoCAD 386 Installation and Performance Guide.)\r\n\r\n B. The configured plot spooler directory must exist, and both AutoCAD\r\n and the spooler program need read/write access to it. When\r\n configuring, include the trailing directory delimiter character for\r\n the system, such as \"\\\" for DOS.\r\n\r\n C. Configure the default plot file name as \"AUTOSPOOL\", or enter\r\n \"AUTOSPOOL\" as the file at plot time.\r\n\r\n D. Set the environment variable \"ACADPLCMD\" to a DOS command string\r\n that invokes the plot spooler, with \"%s\" where the plot file name\r\n should get filled in.\r\n \r\n E. If the operation of the plot spooler command depends on a TSR having\r\n been installed, the TSR must be installed BEFORE you start AutoCAD.\r\n Loading a TSR via execution of ACADPLCMD at plot time (or via the\r\n Shell command) is likely to be fatal to both the TSR and AutoCAD, if\r\n the TSR trashes any of the DOS Extender's interrupt vectors.\r\n \r\n For example, if plots are to be processed by a SPOOLPL program on DOS,\r\n the definition of ACADPLCMD might be:\r\n\r\n SET ACADPLCMD=SPOOLPL %s\r\n\r\n assuming that a plot spooler program named SPOOLPL is present on the\r\n search path and accepts the plot file name as a parameter.\r\n\r\n The mechanism is the same for the Prplot command, except the ACADPPCMD\r\n environment variable is used.\r\n\r\n NOTE: Placing the definition in AUTOEXEC.BAT is advisable if you intend\r\n to use plot spooling frequently. However, in DOS batch (.BAT)\r\n files, \"%\" is used to reference parameters. If you set ACADPLCMD\r\n or ACADPPCMD using a .BAT file, remember to use two \"%\" signs in\r\n a row, as in:\r\n\r\n SET ACADPLCMD=PRINT %%s\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAC11386RD-1 Page 3 of 18\f\r\nNetworking notes\r\n----------------\r\n\r\nAutoCAD Release 11 is designed to operate on a wide variety of networks.\r\nAlthough several popular networks have been tested, no particular vendors\r\nhave been designated as \"supported\". A few problem areas have been\r\nidentified:\r\n\r\n- Directory permissions for the 386|VMM swap file location must allow file\r\n creation and read/write operations to occur. If the swap file cannot be\r\n created, 386|VMM prints a message stating \"Error creating swap file\" and\r\n AutoCAD exits.\r\n\r\n- If you plan to execute AutoCAD while your current directory is one that\r\n resides on a remote node, performance will be substantially better if\r\n AutoCAD 386 is configured to place its VMM|386 swap file on a local disk\r\n drive using the \"-swapdir\" switch documented on pages 76 and 170 of the\r\n AutoCAD 386 Installation and Performance Guide (I&PG).\r\n\r\n Furthermore, placing the swap directory on local storage is a workaround\r\n for an apparent problem on Novell Netware 386, where running with a\r\n current directory residing on a remote node often causes AutoCAD to exit\r\n immediately after being called from the DOS command prompt.\r\n\r\n- If you plan to run AutoCAD frequently from a drive mounted on a remote\r\n node, you should also consider setting the \"-nopgexp\" switch to reduce\r\n network traffic when paging program code. This switch is documented on\r\n pages 43 and 169 of the AutoCAD 386 I&PG.\r\n\r\n- AutoCAD's file locking, and AutoCAD itself, will not run properly on\r\n Novell Netware 286 if read-only directories are used. There is no known\r\n fix at this time.\r\n\r\n- Novell NetWare 386 3.1 allows programs to open read-only files in\r\n read-write mode if you have \"READ ONLY COMPATIBILITY = On\" in your\r\n SHELL.CFG file, but reports an error when you try to write to the file.\r\n In general, we recommend that you do not turn on this mode. However, if\r\n this mode is required by another software application that you use, you\r\n will need to obtain the \"FIXOPEN\" NLM patch available from Novell, or\r\n AutoCAD will not function properly when editing read-only files.\r\n\r\n- SunOS 4.0 lacks the DOS file sharing support required for proper\r\n operation of AutoCAD on PC-NFS networks. Operation of AutoCAD in this\r\n environment can result in bad data transfers. You can work around the\r\n problem by using the /SHARE option on the NET USE command when mounting\r\n any network drives used to store drawing files. (See your PC-NFS manual\r\n for further information on the /SHARE option.) SunOS 4.0.1 and later\r\n releases fix the problem.\r\n\r\n- On 3Com networks, library/support files such as ACAD.DWG, ACAD.MNX, and\r\n TXT.SHX must be read-only in order to be shared by multiple users. This\r\n is also true of any other files to be shared on 3Com networks. In\r\n particular, the ACAD.PWD login file shared by users must be read-only.\r\n However, the copy of ACAD.PWD in the server's temporary files directory\r\n must be read-write-createable, as this file keeps track of the number of\r\n users currently using AutoCAD.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAC11386RD-1 Page 4 of 18\f\r\n- AutoCAD holds the ACAD.MNX compiled menu file and any running or paused\r\n script file open while you're in the drawing editor. Thus, if you've\r\n loaded the DOS SHARE utility and you use Shell to run a DOS command such\r\n as COPY or DEL on any of these open files, you'll receive a Sharing\r\n violation and be given an opportunity to abort the command.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nInternational character (8-bit font) support\r\n--------------------------------------------\r\n\r\nThe International versions of AutoCAD 386 Release 11 support 8-bit ASCII\r\ntext characters for the benefit of languages that require them (provided\r\nthat the host system, the supplied shape files, and the display drivers\r\nsupport them as well). 8-bit ASCII support means that 8-bit ASCII text\r\ncharacters can be displayed in AUI and on the text screen, as well as in\r\nText, Attribute, and Dimension entity strings. There are no commands\r\nspecific to using 8-bit ASCII text; when an International version is\r\ninstalled and configured with the proper display driver, more characters\r\nbecome available.\r\n\r\nThe domestic (North American) version of AutoCAD 386 continues to support\r\nonly 7-bit fonts for AUI and text-screen characters. (AUI dialogue boxes\r\nuse character number 128 as the \"check\" mark.) If a text character with a\r\nvalue greater than 128 is output to the display driver (in text mode or\r\nthrough the AUI menus, dialog boxes, command line, etc), it is replaced\r\nwith a \"?\" character. However, entity text strings can contain 8-bit\r\ncharacters (shape numbers 32 through 255).\r\n\r\nThe following is a fairly complete technical description of AutoCAD's\r\n8-bit ASCII support. Drawings created with 8-bit and 7-bit versions of\r\nAutoCAD are compatible with both versions of AutoCAD, with exceptions\r\nnoted in a later section.\r\n\r\nI. The features of the 8-bit ASCII (International) version of AutoCAD are\r\n listed here. Behavior of the 7-bit version for the same circumstances\r\n is also listed when appropriate.\r\n\r\n 1. Built-in display drivers\r\n\r\n In the 7-bit version of AutoCAD, built-in display drivers treat\r\n character code 128 as the AUI \"check\" mark, and display \"?\" when\r\n sent ASCII codes greater than 128.\r\n\r\n In the 8-bit version of AutoCAD, built-in display drivers treat\r\n character code 255 as the AUI \"check\" mark, and can display ASCII\r\n codes greater than 127 for AUI text (such as dialogue boxes), the\r\n command line, menus, and the text screen. The text \"glyphs\" are\r\n obtained from the active DOS code page, as described in DOS\r\n reference manuals.\r\n \r\n NOTE: The Swedish version of AutoCAD is 8-bit, but may use yet\r\n another value for the check mark, as both 128 and 255 are\r\n used for ordinary characters by some Swedish platforms.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAC11386RD-1 Page 5 of 18\f\r\n 2. ADI display drivers\r\n\r\n ADI 4.1 protected- and real-mode display drivers now perform\r\n additional communication with AutoCAD to determine:\r\n\r\n - whether they are talking to a 7-bit or 8-bit version of AutoCAD,\r\n and:\r\n\r\n - If an 8-bit version of AutoCAD is in use, which character code is\r\n used for the AUI \"check\" mark.\r\n\r\n ADI 4.1 display drivers also tell AutoCAD whether they support\r\n 8-bit characters. The 7-bit version of AutoCAD assumes that the\r\n driver operates in 7-bit mode. 8-bit versions of AutoCAD can work\r\n with either 7-bit or 8-bit drivers, but a 7-bit driver forces an\r\n 8-bit AutoCAD to operate in 7-bit mode. All display drivers\r\n written for ADI 4.0 and earlier operate in 7-bit mode. See the ADI\r\n 4.1 Driver Development Kit manual for more information.\r\n\r\n 3. Special codes for dimensioning symbols\r\n\r\n The 8-bit and 7-bit versions of AutoCAD use different integer codes\r\n for the characters representing the three special dimensioning\r\n symbols. The table below shows the names of these symbols, their\r\n generic text control sequences, and their version-dependent integer\r\n values.\r\n\r\n Symbol Control 7-Bit 8-Bit\r\n Name Sequence Value Value\r\n --------------- -------- ----- -----\r\n Degrees %%d 127 248\r\n Plus-Minus %%p 128 241\r\n Circle Diameter %%c 129 237\r\n\r\n Although it is possible to use the integer values for these symbols\r\n directly in a text control sequence (as in %%127), or to enter them\r\n using the ALT key (as in ALT + 1-2-7), these approaches don't\r\n account for the differing values in the 7-bit and 8-bit versions of\r\n AutoCAD. Therefore, we recommend against using them if you want\r\n your special symbols to be compatible with both 7-bit and 8-bit\r\n versions of AutoCAD.\r\n\r\n 4. AutoCAD dimension strings\r\n\r\n In previous versions of AutoCAD, the dimensioning commands used the\r\n control sequences \"%%127\", \"%%128\" and \"%%129\" to generate the above\r\n special symbols. In both the 7-bit and 8-bit versions of Release\r\n 11, these commands now use the \"%%d\", \"%%p\" and \"%%c\" sequences.\r\n Thus, drawings created in one version can be loaded and displayed\r\n without error in the other version.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAC11386RD-1 Page 6 of 18\f\r\n 5. Automatic conversion of Dimension entity strings in older drawings\r\n\r\n When a pre-Release-11 drawing is loaded into Release 11's drawing\r\n editor (from the Main Menu, or via an Insert, Xref, or Dxfin\r\n command), its Dimensions may have text strings containing \"%%127\",\r\n \"%%128\", and \"%%129\" control sequences for the three special\r\n dimensioning symbols. If any are found, they are translated\r\n automatically to \"%%d\", \"%%p\", and \"%%c\", respectively. Once you\r\n End, Save, or Wblock the drawing, the new control sequences will be\r\n permanently stored. This conversion is not performed on Release 11\r\n drawings.\r\n\r\n 6. Automatic symbol mapping\r\n\r\n When an 8-bit AutoCAD loads a font file and determines that it has\r\n no entry for code 248, 241, or 237 (but that it does have an entry\r\n for the corresponding 127, 128, or 129 code), the 127-129 shape\r\n definitions are copied into their corresponding 8-bit codes. In\r\n this manner, existing drawings and 7-bit font files can be used with\r\n the 8-bit version of AutoCAD without difficulty.\r\n\r\n 7. Differing alphabetic character sets for different languages\r\n\r\n Different sets of ASCII characters make up the alphabet in different\r\n languages. However, to ensure that drawings will be compatible\r\n across different language versions of AutoCAD, symbol table (e.g.,\r\n layer, linetype, text style) entries must use a common subset of the\r\n available characters. Currently, this subset is the upper-case\r\n Roman letters \"A\" through \"Z\", the digits \"0\" through \"9\", and the\r\n characters \"$\", \"_\" and \"-\".\r\n \r\n 8. Command option keyword abbreviations\r\n\r\n The 8-bit ASCII versions of AutoCAD support abbreviations for\r\n command option keywords that begin after the first letter of the\r\n keyword, when the allowed abbreviation is represented by the first\r\n contiguous string of capitalized alphabetic characters shown in the\r\n prompt.\r\n\r\n For example, the keyword \"nanTUCKet\" could be specified by the\r\n string \"TUCK\".\r\n\r\n The 7-bit ASCII version of AutoCAD continues to require\r\n abbreviations of command option keywords to begin at the start of\r\n the keyword. (Certain keywords, such as \"eXit\", are exceptions to\r\n this rule. In the 8-bit ASCII versions, this is typical.)\r\n\r\nII. Where 8-bit ASCII characters are defined\r\n\r\n 1. The DOS Code Page facility is used to change the \"glyphs\" of all\r\n ASCII characters in text mode (and for AUI text on most display\r\n drivers). Instructions for the use of Code Pages can be found in\r\n the DOS Reference Manual.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAC11386RD-1 Page 7 of 18\f\r\n 2. The AutoCAD font files contain symbol definitions for the characters\r\n in Text, Attribute, and Dimension entity text strings. Entries for\r\n ASCII character codes 32 through 255 have always been supported, but\r\n many of the font files shipped with AutoCAD have only their first\r\n 129 characters defined. There are exceptions, usually denoted by an\r\n \"8\" at the end of their font name, such as ISO8.SHP/SHX. So, if you\r\n intend to use a full 8-bit ASCII character set, you may have to\r\n extend some of the font files yourself, or obtain 8-bit font files\r\n from other sources. Defining the 8-bit characters is done in the\r\n same manner as the existing 7-bit characters, and they can be added\r\n to existing font files with no harm done.\r\n\r\nIII. Compatibility notes and exceptions\r\n\r\n 1. A drawing created in an 8-bit AutoCAD can be edited with a 7-bit\r\n AutoCAD. However, if the drawing has the character code 128 in\r\n entity text strings, AUI dialogue boxes that display the text (such\r\n as for Ddatte or Ddedit) will display a \"check\" mark in place of the\r\n desired character. (The AUI \"check\" mark is two character cells\r\n wide, so it will obscure the following character as well.) This is\r\n harmless, but looks ugly. Other ASCII codes greater than 128 are\r\n replaced by \"?\" marks in AUI text strings; this is also harmless.\r\n\r\n 2. KANJI (Japanese) AutoCAD uses 7-bit codes, but certain codes are\r\n interpreted as the first byte of a two-byte (16-bit) KANJI code.\r\n Therefore, KANJI AutoCAD drawings will not display correctly on\r\n 8-bit ASCII AutoCAD, because all characters will be interpreted as\r\n 8-bit ASCII characters.\r\n\r\n Conversely, 8-bit ASCII strings can be confused for KANJI 16-bit\r\n characters in a 7-bit AutoCAD, although this is far less likely,\r\n since the code must be defined in a BIGFONT shape file, etc.\r\n \r\n 3. Drawings that reference font files containing definitions for\r\n character codes 248, 241, and 237, when loaded into 8-bit AutoCAD,\r\n will use those codes for the degree, plus/minus, and diameter\r\n symbols when the AutoCAD dimensioning commands or other commands\r\n enter the \"%%d\", \"%%p\", and \"%%c\" control sequences into drawing\r\n entity text strings.\r\n\r\n 4. The text control sequences \"%%127\", \"%%128\", and \"%%129\" are\r\n converted to \"%%d\", \"%%p\", and \"%%c\" if found within Dimension\r\n entities in a pre-Release-11 drawing. Only Dimension entities are\r\n converted, however. Therefore, if such a drawing is loaded into an\r\n 8-bit AutoCAD, any non-Dimension entities containing these control\r\n sequences may no longer display the desired symbols. There should\r\n be no problem in the 7-bit version of AutoCAD, however.\r\n \r\n 5. At this writing, it is not clear that all languages can be\r\n restricted to use of upper-case Roman letters for symbol table\r\n entries, and thus be compatible with each other.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAC11386RD-1 Page 8 of 18\f\r\nAutoCAD Reference Manual corrections\r\n------------------------------------\r\n\r\nChapter 2\r\n\r\n- \"Entity Selection\". In the description of the \"Previous\" option on page\r\n 62, the last sentence in the Note should read:\r\n\r\n AutoCAD remembers the space (model or paper) in which each\r\n selection-set is obtained; the \"previous\" selection-set is also\r\n cleared if you switch spaces and attempt to use it in the other\r\n space.\r\n\r\n\r\nChapter 4\r\n\r\n- \"Text Command\", pages 129-134. The description of the new text\r\n alignment modes is incorrect, and should be changed as follows:\r\n\r\n Page 129. The last paragraph should read:\r\n\r\n You can align text using any combination of\r\n top/middle/baseline/bottom and left/center/right alignment modes.\r\n Baseline refers to the line along which the bases of the capital\r\n letters lie. If you imagine a box surrounding the text, then\r\n letters with descenders (such as p, g, and y) dip below the\r\n baseline to the bottom of the box, and capital letters reach the\r\n top of the box. The middle position is halfway between the\r\n baseline and the top. The following figure shows the text\r\n alignment positions.\r\n\r\n Page 130. The \"middle\" indicator in the figure should be halfway\r\n between the baseline and the top.\r\n\r\n Page 134, \"Text M - Fully Centered Text\". The Note at the top of the\r\n page should read:\r\n\r\n The difference between this option and MCenter is that rather than\r\n using the halfway point between the baseline and the top, Middle\r\n uses the midpoint of an imaginary box surrounding the text string.\r\n Therefore, its effect differs depending on whether the text string\r\n has descenders or any characters that reach the top.\r\n\r\n Page 134. In Table 4-2, the notation \"(same as M)\" should be removed\r\n from the MC entry.\r\n\r\n\r\nChapter 5\r\n\r\n- \"Entity Selection\". In the third paragraph on page 146, it should be\r\n noted that UCSes whose extrusion directions are directly opposite each\r\n other are not considered \"parallel\".\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAC11386RD-1 Page 9 of 18\f\r\n- \"Filleting Two Straight Lines\", page 172. The first paragraph's second\r\n sentence is incorrect and should read:\r\n\r\n It then trims the lines (retaining the \"picked\" segments if they\r\n cross) and creates a fillet arc with the current fillet radius.\r\n\r\n- \"Undo - Notes and Interactions\", page 201. The following should be added:\r\n\r\n Undo does not undo changes made to the CVPORT system variable by the\r\n SETVAR command (or the equivalent AutoLISP/ADS functions).\r\n\r\n\r\nChapter 7\r\n\r\n- \"Color Numbers\", page 260. At the end of the fourth paragraph, \"Mslide\r\n command\" should be replaced by \"Vslide command\".\r\n\r\n- \"Entity Handles\", page 262. The following should be appended to the\r\n first paragraph:\r\n\r\n Entity handles are often, but not always, assigned sequentially.\r\n\r\n- \"Which Operations Change Handles?\". The \"Wblock *\" command now retains\r\n entity handles, so the last paragraph on page 263 should begin:\r\n\r\n With the exception of \"Wblock *\", all forms ...\r\n\r\n- \"Ddlmodes Command\". Append the following to the first paragraph on page\r\n 283:\r\n\r\n (Hatch blocks, Dimensions, and Blocks whose entities use color \"by\r\n block\" won't adapt to transparent color changes until the next\r\n regen, although no alert will appear.)\r\n\r\n\r\nChapter 8\r\n\r\n- \"Axis Command\", page 291. In addition to the restrictions noted in the\r\n second paragraph, the Axis command works only when TILEMODE is on.\r\n\r\n- \"Object Snap Modes\", page 307. Add the following to the description of\r\n \"Nearest\" mode:\r\n\r\n Use of this mode with Circles and Arcs requires that their extrusion\r\n direction be parallel to the Z axis of the current UCS.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAC11386RD-1 Page 10 of 18\f\r\nChapter 9\r\n\r\n- \"Wblock Command\". The \"*\" form of the Wblock command now retains entity\r\n handles, as well as all named views, User Coordinate Systems, and\r\n viewport configurations. The first paragraph on page 331 should now\r\n read:\r\n\r\n The entire drawing is written. This is similar to the Save command\r\n (\"Save Command - Updating Without Exit\" on page 68), except that\r\n unreferenced symbols (Block Definitions, layers, linetypes, text\r\n styles, and dimension styles) are not written. The object selection\r\n pickbox size is shown as being stored in both the prototype drawing and\r\n AutoCAD's configuration file. It is actually stored in the\r\n configuration file only.\r\n\r\n- \"Modify Pull-down Menu\", page 451. This section applies\r\n only to the 640K DOS version of AutoCAD. Use of expanded memory with\r\n AutoCAD 386 requires a memory manager that conforms to the VCPI\r\n interface standard. See the AutoCAD 386 I&PG for further information.\r\n\r\n- \"Menu Bar and Pull-down Menus\". Two changes should be made to page 489.\r\n The following should be appended to the second paragraph:\r\n\r\n If the titles won't all fit in the menu bar, AutoCAD truncates\r\n characters one by one from the longest title (checking each time to\r\n see which is now longest), until they all fit. This can result in\r\n some silly-looking titles, so you should attempt to fit everything\r\n in 80 columns if possible.\r\n\r\n and the last paragraph should be changed to read:\r\n\r\n Each pull-down menu ordinarily appears directly beneath its menu bar\r\n title. However, the rightmost menus shift to the left to\r\n accommodate long menu items. The maximum number of items in a\r\n pull-down menu is governed by the display device, and may be as low\r\n as 21; be sure to consider this when designing custom menus.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAC11386RD-1 Page 12 of 18\f\r\n- \"Extended big-font\", page 512. This\r\n last form has been dropped, so applications will no longer\r\n need special code to cope with its embedded blank. The\r\n standard color numbers now appear simply as \"1\" - \"7\".\r\n\r\n OSMODE Running object snap modes are now ignored during entity\r\n selection.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAutoCAD 386 Installation and Performance Guide corrections\r\n----------------------------------------------------------\r\n\r\n- \"AutoCAD 386 and Memory Managers\", page 3. Add to this section:\r\n \"HIMEM.SYS does not conform to the VCPI specification, and is not\r\n compatible with AutoCAD 386.\"\r\n\r\n- \"Essential Hardware and Software\". In the second paragraph on page 8,\r\n \"8.7 megabytes\" should be changed to \"9 megabytes\". AutoCAD creates the acad.pwd file during the server\r\n authorization phase of the configuration process.
