INSTALLATION OF SYSTEM\r\n\r\nFiles cabable with editting function of PE3 (DW3) are many, the capapcity of one\r\nHD diskette is not sufficient for holding all of them.\tIt is proposed\tthat the\r\nPE3 (DW3) system should be installed in the HARDDISK under the\tROOT FILE of PE3\r\n(DW3); the function files should be installed under the PE3 (DW3) file. Details\r\nof installation are described in the Users Manual.\r\n\r\nD. LOADING SUPPLEMENTARY OR AMENDATORY FILE(S) INTO PE3(DW3)\r\n\r\n1. Loading Supplementary or Amendatory File(s) Included in the Diskette.\r\n\r\nSome revisions have been made for PE3 (DW3) Version 3.50, some of those supple-\r\nmentary and amendatory files are independent to the PE3 (DW3). For the conven-\r\nience of users, a preloading file name has been established, and the definition\r\nof profile has been input in the Profile (PRO) of PE3 (DW3). However, it must be realized that the previous file PE-PAGE\r\nwill be released automatically and not function any more. If the PE-PAGE file\r\nis to\tbe used again,\tsame procedure for loading a file should be performed.\r\nThat means each time only one supplementary/amendatory file could be loaded.\r\n\r\n2. Loading the File Bought Separately as Marked (*) in Section B above\r\n\r\nThe files bought separately are indenpent from the PE3(DW3) Version 3.50, there\r\nis no pre-input of file name or definision profile in the PE3(DW3) Version 3.50.\r\nTherefore, the file names and profiles should be pre-input into the\tPE3(DW3)\r\nVersion 3.50.\r\n\r\nThe definision should be put in the File PE3.PRO or DW3.PRO under the last line\r\nof the PE3.PRO/DW3.PRO file, and saved in the file. Then loading of file can be\r\nmade following the procedure as described in Item 1 above.\r\n\r\nThe following is the definition of PE-TYPE, which should be input in the file of\r\nPE3(DW3).PRO.\r\n\r\n def pe-type = [command]'e '[drive][path]'pe-type\\type.pro'[execute]\r\n\t\t [command]'set xpro' [execute]\r\n\r\nProcedure for inputting profile definition is detailed in the Chapter I of Users\r\nManual.\r\n\r\n3. Difference of Procedures for Loading the above Two Different kinds of File\r\n\r\nThe difference of loading procedures\tfor the above two kinds of file can be\r\neasily determined from the PE3.PRO (DW3.PRO). If the definition of the file had\r\nalready been input in the PE3.PRO, which can be loaded by the prodecures descri-\r\nbed in Item 1 above, that is just to key-in the file name in the command line ;\r\notherwise, the prodecures described in Item 2 above should be followed.\r\n\r\nE. AUTHORIZATION OF COPY RIGHT\r\n\r\n┌──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐\r\n│ Authorization of Copy Right for PE3 (DW3) will be given to those who are │\r\n│ using, teaching, producing, programming, selling and running computer │\r\n│ business concerned. \t\t\t\t\t\t │\r\n└──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘\r\n\r\nThe PE3 (DW3) software has been publicly welcomed in a short time,\twhich is\r\nmainly achieved by the comtributions from the users, manufacturers, programers\r\nand many others in computer field.\r\n\r\nAt the begining in developing the PE3 (DW3), it had been mapped up to let all\r\nthe users who is interested for PE3 software to be familiar with the program\r\nfirst;\tand then, additionally, to enroll in programming so that PE3 (DW3) can\r\nbe one of the most useful softwares for the users. Therefore, special Call\r\nCommand functions are provided to support the compatibility for almost all other\r\nprograms of different languages.\r\n\r\nMany thanks to the instructors, programmers and many others\tcontinuously and\r\ngenerously contribute to us the ideas, testing results and revisions to strenth-\r\nen the PE3 (DW3) in further development. As a matter of fact, day by day, PE3\r\n(DW3) is becoming more and more capable for various functions, and more and more\r\nimportant in the computer society.\r\n\r\nSince the development of PE3 (DW3) is the result of contributions from public,\r\nwe expect to do something in return. The following plan has been drawn up for\r\nthe benefit of public, it is\thoped that everyone may possible be to become\r\neither a trainer or a programmer.\r\n\r\n1. For the Trainers and Computer Book Stores\r\n\r\nAll the trainers and computer book stores who are interested in the extension of\r\nPE3 software, we are willing to offer an official contract without charge to\r\nauthorize for writing teaching materials; further more, we will provide newest\r\ninformation what we are avilable for supporting the writing.\r\n\r\n2. For the Hardware Manufacturers and Delears\r\n\r\nWe are willing to cooperate with the computer manufacturers and delears by pro-\r\nviding the authorized PE3 versions to avoid illeqal copying.\r\n\r\n3. For Programmers\r\n\r\nThe PE3 software is a universal program with unlimited capability for expanding\r\nof the functions. It can be expanded and revised as anyone likes when and where\r\nit is insufficient or unconvenient in operation. Any expansion and rivision of\r\nfunction developed by a user or a programmer will be\tvery appreciated. Anyone\r\nwant to sell the new developed program, we will sign a contract with the devel-\r\noper and authorize with the name of PE3 (DW3) for vending. We also provide\r\n\"sale by proxy\" service. NOTES FOR USERS\r\n\r\nThere are two PE3 (DW3) versions, the\tOriginal PE3 Version (With legal right)\r\nand the Training Version (Attached to the Users Manual, it's only for training).\r\n\r\n1. Notes on Training Version\r\n\r\nThe PE3 Training Version is attached to the Users Manual for training only in\r\nschools or anyone who want to learn the PE3 (DW3) by oneself,\tfunctions of the\r\nTraining Version are almost the same as the Original Version. The main purposes\r\nof the\tissuance of the Training Version are intended to provide a low cost\r\nprogram but legally owned for students and low income people who are not\r\nafforded to buy the Original Version,\tand to strenthen the concept\tof using\r\nlegal software with copy right. Additionally,\tif more people can use PE3 (DW3)\r\nprogram, it will be beneficial for populizing the PE3 (DW3) software so that the\r\nPE3 (DW3) program will be widely used in offices. It is hoped that this action\r\ncan be supported publicly.\r\n\r\nHowever, it is necessary for us to clarify earnestly the purposes of issuing the\r\nTraining Version of PE3 (DW3),\tthe action taken is solely for the extension and\r\npopulizing of PE3 (DW3) software, and for strenthening the concept of using\r\nlegal software with copy right, especially for students and low income people.\r\nWe think those goals are expected to be achieved for all computer producers, we\r\nare also willing to share the benefit with all others in the computer society\r\nas described in Section F above.\r\n\r\nPlease check the attached diskette before use\tto see\tif it is in metting with\r\nthe description of README File (or other file names).\r\n\r\n* Replace of defected diskette (Training or original Version) is availlabe\r\n within 30 days (Basing on the date of receipt) of purchase.\r\n\r\n2.
