The purpose of this program is simply to allow you\r\nto double-click on an icon and shutdown Windows. This I found to be\r\neasier than going through Program Manager.\r\n\r\nYou can just simply exit Windows, or configure it to display a dialog\r\nbox asking you if you really want to exit. This is similar to what\r\nyou get from Program Manager. \r\n\r\n\t\t\tBUT DON'T WORRY!.\r\n\r\nThis method of closing down Windows is the same way Program Manager\r\ndoes it. So no work will be lost. For example, let's say you have\r\nEXCEL running with a spreadsheet you just created or modified, but\r\nhaven't saved yet. EXCEL (and all running programs) will get notified\r\nby Windows that it is closing down, so you have a chance to save your\r\nwork.\r\n\r\n\t\t========================================\r\n\t\t ================================\r\n\t\t ========================\r\n\t\t ================\r\n\r\nTo install WinExit, just add it to the LOAD= line in your WIN.INI file.\r\nThe program is setup to only allow one instance of itself. I didn't\r\nsee a point to have two running.\r\n\r\nWinExit's system menu has 3 new options. The first is the menu\r\nequivilent of double-clicking the icon. At the bottom of the menu is\r\nthe ABOUT box and the EXIT DIALOG BOX option. The EXIT DIALOG BOX\r\noption is a toggle. If this is toggled on (a checkmark will appear),\r\nwhen you double-click a dialog box will appear asking you if you really\r\nwant to exit. This setting is saved in the WIN.INI file under the\r\nkeyword [WinExit].\r\n\r\n\r\nI would like to here your opinions and suggestions on WinExit.\r\n\r\nI am releasing this program in public domain.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nHoward Silver\r\n76675,3476"
