Type of Applications

        Windows-based applications require Windows version 3.0 or laster in order to run. These programs are generally highly graphical and designed to share your computer's memory among applications as efficiently as possible.
        MS-DOS-based applications are designed to run with the MS-DOS operating system but not specifically with Windows. They do not take advantage of the Windows graphical interface,and they may not have menus or dialog goxes,or make use of the mouse. However,you can still use most of these applications with Windows.
        应用程序的种类
        各种类型的应用程序在Windows下运行。有一些是专门为在Windows下运行而设计的，我们把它们称之为Windows应用程序。另外一些是为在MS-DOS下而不是在Windows下运行而设计的，把它们称之为MS-DOS应用程序。
        Windows应用程序运行在Windows 3.0以上的版本。这些程序通常高度图形化并且设计成使应用程序尽可能有效地共享你的计算机的内存。
        MS-DOS应用程序被设计成在MS-DOS操作系统下运行而不是专门在Windows下运行。它们没有利用Windows的图形界面，并且它们可能没有菜单或对话框，或者不使用鼠标。但是这些应用程序仍然能够在Windows下使用。
