386 Enhanced Mode

        To spceify how resources are allocated to non-Windows applications, you need to set the Foreground and Background priorities for these applications by using PIF (Program Information File) Editor.

        使用386增强模式，你可以规定Windows如何控制应用程序对外设的同时请求，例如打印机和调制解调器。你也可以确定当Windows应用程序和非Windows应用程序同时运行时Windows该如何分配时间片(即分配给应用程序的微处理器时间量，一般按毫秒计)和计算机资源。
        要霜指明资源如何分配给非Windows应用程序，需要使用PIF(程序信息文件)编辑器为这些应用程序设置前台优先级和后台优先级。
