        A separate processor designed to take some of the load off the main processor to make the computer run faster.Agraphics coprocessor takes care of displaying images on the screen,resulting in faster,more colorful,and more detailed images.A math coprocessor takes care of numerical calculations,making spreadsheets and grphics programs run faster.Acoprocessor improves the performance of a computer dramatically.Some complex programs,such as 3DS or AutoCAD,can't run without a coprocessor.
        协处理器
        为减轻主处理器的一些负担，使计算机运行得更快而设计的独立处理器。图形协处理器负责屏幕上图像的显示，使得图像的显示速度更快，色彩更丰富，并且更细致。数学协处理器负责数值计算，使电子表格及图形程序运行得更快。协处理器显著地提高了机器性能。一些复杂的程序如3DS、AutoCAD没有协处理器的支持就不能运行。
