Clipboard

        A temporary storage area used by the Macintosh，Windows，and certain DOS programs for holding text or graphics.Items which have been selected previously are automatically placed in the clipboard whenever the user chooses the Cut or Copy command.The items can be text，graphics，records from a database，a column of numbers from a spreadsheet，and so on. Items remain on the clipboard until the user chooses a new item with the Cut or Copy command.Items stored on the clipboard may be transferred to other Programs.
        剪贴板
        Macintosh、Windows和某些DOS程序用来保存文本或图形的临时存贮区。当用户选择剪切或复制命令时，事先选择好的项目就自动被放到剪贴板中。项目可以是文本、图形、数据库中的记录、电子表格中的一列数等等。剪贴板中的项目保持不变，直到用户用剪切或复制命令选择了新的项目。存贮在剪贴板中的项目可以传递给其它程序。
