Multi-Task Processing

        The big advantage of multi-tasking is that all equipment, especially expensive peripherals,is kept busy most of the time,thus giving value for money. Additionally,printer `spooling' gives the CPU more freedom to get on with processing other data.
        New types of multi-tasking Software are now available,combining a specialized operating system with applications programs,for example Microsoft Windows is a MIMP set of programs.

        多任务处理是这样一个专门的系统，它允许在同一时间在计算机的内存中有多个程序驻留。它计算出每一处理过程的优先级，使得外设例如打印机在CPU没有任何计算/过程处理要求时，保持“忙”状态。表面看起来，所存的任务在同时做，事实上，在某一时刻只能做一个任务的一小部分。
        多任务处理系统的好处就是所有的设备，特别是昂贵的外设在大多数时间里保持忙的状态，以提高效益。另外，打印机“假脱机”将使CPU有更多的空闲时间处理别的事务。
        一种新的多任务软件已得到应用，包括专门的操作系统和应用程序。如微软的Windows，就是一个基于图形的多任务多窗口环境的程序集。
